Lot 1830

1855. PCGS graded MS-62. Especially bright and lustrous for this elusive type coin with frosty, reddish-gold surfaces. The strike is sharp enough to bring out Liberty's finer curls and the definition on the wreath. Even the often poorly defined central details on the reverse are sharp on this example including all letters of the denomination, however minor weakness shows on the digits of the date. Several possible mint-made diagonal marks are also noted at the center of the reverse (PCGS # 7532) .
Estimated Value $1,800 - 1,900.

Realized $2,468
