Lot 1604

1881. PCGS graded MS-67. Both sides of this Superb Gem display tremendous eye appeal. The glowing silver-white surfaces on this marvelous coin are virtually devoid of color, save for the slightest amount of reddish-golden color at selected rim areas on each side. Radiant cartwheel luster proceeds from softly frosted, satiny surfaces. As expected of the grade, there are no singularly mentionable marks or spots. Neither NGC nor PCGS has assigned a higher numeric grade, and this example is tied for the finest graded at both services. Pop 4; none finer at PCGS. (PCGS # 7124) .
Estimated Value $10,000 - 13,000.
