1773 Virginia Halfpenny Breen-181. PCGS graded MS-66 Brown. CAC Approved. Variety without a stop following GEORGIVS. A sharply struck gem example of this halfpenny that was authorized by the British Crown for use in colonial Virginia. Most likely from the famous Colonel Cohen Hoard of mint state examples that was disbursed over the decades beginning in the early 1870's. Listed on page 45 in the "Redbook." Pop 1; none finer at PCGS .
