1878. PCGS graded Proof 62 Cameo. Virtually untoned in the centers but then this handsome coin acquiesces to gentle shades of golden-brown at the rims. Both sides display the cameo contrast collectors have long come to associate with well-struck 19th century proofs. Just a few hairlines are reported in the fields. Only 800 pieces were minted. Pop 8; 28 finer (PCGS # 85579) .
