1874. Arrows. NGC graded Proof 65. Sharply struck and seemingly hairline-free, the surfaces reveal boldly reflective fields as the coin is rotated beneath a light. The surfaces present an essentially brilliant appearance with just the slightest amount of pale golden patina. The second of only two proof deliveries of the Arrows type, the 1874 is a popular and scarce issue at the Gem level of preservation. Only 700 proofs were coined this year. Pop 40; 31 finer, 25 in 66, 5 in 67, 1 in 68 Star.
