Cornelia Supera (wife of Aemilian), Silver Antoninianus, 3.7g. Cornelia Supera (wife of Aemilian), Silver Antoninianus, 3.7g. Mint of Rome, under Aemilian, AD 253. C CORNEL SVPERA AVG, diademed and draped bust facing right, set on a crescent. Rev. VESTA, Vesta standing facing, head left, holding patera and sceptre (RIC 30; RSC 5). Extremely fine, well struck and nicely toned. Exceedingly rare. Other than the fact that she was the wife of the short-reigned emperor Aemilian and that she was of the Cornelia gens, nothing is known about the empress Cornelia Supera.
