Kabalevsky, Dmitry (1904-1987) Prolific Russian composer of piano music and chamber music. Autograph letter signed ("D. Kabalevsky") in Russian, one page with integral leaf, recto and verso, 8" x 5½", n.p., July 1, 1971. To his publisher about the numbering and dating of his piano compositions, including his three Piano Concertos, his Rhapsody for Piano and Orchestra, and his transcription of Schubert's Fantasy for piano and orchestra. He also asks that his name be printed in both Cyrillic and Roman letters. Light toning, vertical and horizontal folds. Very good condition.
