Casella, Alfredo (1883-1947) Italian composer, pianist, conductor, and promoter of modern Italian music. Typed letter signed ("Casella") in French, on decorative Corporazione Delle Nuove Musiche letterhead, one page, recto and verso, 11¼" x 9", Roma, August 23, 1924. To "Dear Hammond." Casella mentions himself and some young Italian composers and the names of some of their works. Autograph postscript and annotations throughout the letter. Light toning, vertical and horizontal folds. Very good condition.
