Ford, Henry, Samuel Crowther, and Henry Ford II (1863-1947) American industrialist; founder of Ford Motor Company. By making a car that middle-class Americans could afford, he revolutionized transportation and American industry. Note page with small photo of Ford affixed signed boldly at left, 4 x 5½", n.p., n.d. The same page also has a signature and inscription by Samuel Crowther (1809-91), a linguist and the first African Anglican bishop in Nigeria. With a 1977 letter signed by Henry Ford II (1917-87) on Ford letterhead, congratulating an employee on his 30th anniversary at Ford.
