Pre-Columbian. Embossed Incan Gold Cuff, c. 300-500 AD. Low-grade, hammered gold, probably 10 karat. Adorned with a deer-like face with upward-facing antlers, above which is a headdress. Arms extend from each side and face upward; a garment is composed of a row of raised circles above a row of raised triangles, below which is a pair of wide feet and ankles. A matching raised decorative motif is on either side. Width: 4 ¾".
