Pre-Columbian. Chimu Silver-Footed Vessel, c. AD 1100-1250. Big-footed vessel, of baluster form and with a flared neck, the stand decorated with waves and friezes, the body engraved with four vertical friezes depicting three seated mythological figures in a trance state, the whole on a dotted background and flanked with wave friezes. Professional repair to three minor cracks. Height: 9 ¼"; Diameter: 3".
