Two Late 19th Century Patriotic Toy Snare Drums. Two pieces: Toy snare drums made of brass from 1895. The larger drum is 8" tall and 10" in diameter with paint wear, dents and one head damaged but original with wonderful embossed images of the US flag. The smaller drum measures 6¾" x 8¼" with some wear and replaced head. It is embossed with eagles and flags. There are nicely detailed designs pressed into the the wood rims on top and bottom. Both retain their original string braiding and stays. In spite of the issues in condition, these two pieces are quite rare and present nicely.
