China-Sinkiang, 1933, 10¢ dark blue airmail, vertical pair, franking. Scott C2. Large red band cover with vertical pair of 10¢ airmails, Sinkiang Scott #94 and horizontal pair of China C10 all tied to reverse by 1933 Tihwa cancels. Sent to Shanghai (receiver) and addressed to Hollington Tong at The China Press. Mr. Tong was in charge of propaganda for the Republic of China and later became the Republic of China's ambassador to the USA. Folds of no consequence to stamps or cancels. Scarce franking.
