Bronze of Isis and Horus. Late Dynastic Egypt or Ptolemaic Period, ca. 500-100 B.C. The goddess seated, her feet on squarish bronze base. She wears a uraeus cap surmounted by the Crown of Hathor and offers her breast to the child Horus, held on her lap. The sculpted and chased details careful and attractive. Mounted on custom walnut base. Modest expert restoration to one tip of horn and edge of feet. Brown in color, the metal is sound and the figure is well delineated. Height: 6¾".
