Decorated Mummy Wrappings, Late Period, ca. 664 - 30 BC. A long strip of linen from a mummy with funerary drawings. Drawn across strip in black pigment are a number of seated deities, rather stylized, several sarcophagi, the deceased atop a funerary bier, an altar, a palm frond, a shrine and a second mummy atop a bier. One area with some loss. This unique piece is spread in a long black frame. Length: 37 ½"; Width: 2". Frame measures 37" x 12 ¾".
