Lucanian. Red Figure Bell Krater, ca. 450-325 BC. Woman, on left wearing a decorated himation, walking right holding a patera to the nude male on the right; he stands right, looking back at the woman, cloth draped over arms; he holds a stick out to her in his right hand and walking stick in his left. Reverse: Two youths facing one another, they each wears a himation; the youth on the right holds a walking stick. Free of repairs. Only a few minor chips. A lovely Lucanian bell krater. Height: 9"; Diameter: 9 ½".
