Etruscan. Bucchero Chalice, ca. 580 BC. Chalice with the deep cup supported by four flat-backed plaques as legs that sit on a ring base, each with the image of a nude, long-haired man walking right and holding staff. Around the lip of the cup is decorative ribbing. Rasmussen Type 1B. Some repair to bowl, old collection label, 976. Height: 6 ¾ "; Diameter: 5 ¾".
