Lot 221
1798 S-182 R4 Small 8 with Style II Hair VG8. Sharpness VF25 but covered with very fine roughness mixed with some more obvious patches of shallow pitting. No marks but there are traces of verdigris in the pits. Slightly frosty very dark steel, nearly black. Nicely struck with a strong date and clear legends.
