Aiolis, Myrina. Silver Tetradrachm (16.7 g), ca. 160-143 BC. Laureate head of Apollo right, hair in three braids on neck. Reverse: MYPINAIΩN, Apollo Grynios standing right, holding patera and branch tied with two fillets; at feet to right, omphalos and amphora; in inner left field, monogram; all within laurel wreath. Sacks issue 23; SNG Copenhagen -. An outstanding example struck in high relief, lustrous and lightly toned. NGC graded Mint State; Strike: 4/5, Surface: 5/5.
