1883 Hawaiian Quarter Dollar. PCGS graded MS-66 PQ. CAC Approved. Lovely rainbow toning on both sides. Sparkling luster iridescence imbues this satiny toned beauty with a life of its own. Add a high degree of luster and the appeal is virtually irresistible. Strong detail at the reverse shield and on King Kalakaua’s beard. One year Type. The Kingdom of Hawaii issued silver Dimes, Quarters, Half Dollars, and Silver Dollars. Though dated 1883 (they were struck at the San Francisco Mint), they did not go into circulation until early 1884, where they received a warm welcome.
