1835. Overton-108, Rarity 3. PCGS graded AU-53. Frosty and mostly untoned, a most assuredly frosty example. 1835 is the only time in US history that the government paid off the national debt. This was done at the insistance of President Andrew Jackson. Since then, "business as usual" has prevailed (PCGS # 6168) .
