Lot 432

1896. PCGS graded MS-67 PQ. CAC Approved. Lovely lavender and blue iridescent toning. A beautiful, frosty-white Gem augmented by snowy luster which serves to magnify the coin's brilliant arc of gleaming blue and lavender toning, there are no unsettling bagmarks on either side. The reverse illuminated by a ring of the same colors with light silvery moon glow right smack dab in the center. In the period in which this Barber coin was made, weak strikes predominate on the branch mint coinage, but Philadelphia’s production standard was second to none. That is why it is a pleasure to report a strike with preciseness only now and then found. Pop 5; none finer at PCGS (PCGS # 5613) .
Estimated Value $6,000 - 6,500.

Realized $10,575
