Great Britain. Maundy Set, 1746. S.3716; ESC-2410. George II. Young laureate bust left. An exceptionally choice set of Maundy coins struck in the same year as the 1746 Proof set (Crown, Halfcrown, Shilling and Sixpence). These are not Proof coins, but the set does appear to be superior to others of this reign. The group has exquiaitely sharp detail, and has been carefully made to a superior standard. Lot of 4 coins. NGC graded 2, 3 and 4 Pence MS-66, 1 Pence NGC graded MS 67.
