1842 Braided Hair Cent. Large date. Newcomb-6, Rarity-1. . N-6. NGC graded MS-65 Red and Brown. Full subdued mint red, the surfaces beginning to tone to brown, with a streak of carbon up from the bridge of the nose. A glass reveals some microscopic abrasions on the obverse and on the dentils over OF is a light scrape, mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Tied for the second finest with possibly two others.
A fabulous coin with a pedigree to match, bid high if you expect to capture this prize.
