1857 Flying Eagle Cent. MS-65. This one has a bit of coppery toning on both sides. Struck from worn and crumbling dies, especially around the reverse edge, which accounts for the weakness in the strike. Partial separation on the eagle's tail feathers noted, from the weakness in the strike. Wounderful spot-free surfaces with a touch of pale bluish and golden toning.
