Lot 4195
1922-S $20 St. Gaudens. NGC graded MS-63. Although the original mintage was large, over 2,600,000, most were melted or circulated. Few remain in mint state for date collectors. We doubt if 1,000 exist today in various grades of mint state. Rather heavy polishing lines in the reverse die at the periphery.
