Commodus, 177-192 AD. Lot of two AR denarii, Rome mint, struck 175-185 AD. Commodus as Caesar: bare head right / Hilaritas standing left, holding palm branch and cornucopia (RIC 611). As Augustus: Laureate head right / Annona left, holding statuette, prow to right, basket to left (RIC 106). Both nicely toned. Both Choice Very Fine.
