Augustus, 27 BC-14 AD. AE Quadrans, Rome mint, struck 5 BC. Garlanded altar with rounded top, inscription around. Reverse: SC, inscription around. Cf. RIC 456 for inscription order, but devices reversed; note footnote 447. Note especially Sear (2000 Ed.) p. 334, for RIC misdescriptions. Dark coppery brown patina. Extremely Fine.
