Ancient Greece. Lot of South Italian and Sicilian AE's, mostly 3rd century BC. AE 19 of the Arpi, Apulia: Bull right / Prancing horse right (SNG Cop. 607). AE 23 probably of the Lokroi Epizephyrioi: Helmeted head of Athena left / Pegasus left (Cf. SNG Cop.1888). AE 23 of Hicetas: Wreathed head of Persephone left / Fast biga right (SNG Cop. 801ff.) AE 27 of Hieron II: Head left / Horseman with spear right (SNG Cop. 834ff.). AE 17 of Taurumenium: Apollo head left / bull left (SNG Cop. 917). Also two AE 16's of Carthage: Wreathed head of Tanit left / Horse right, palm tree behind. Lot of 7 coins. All dark brown to blackish patinas, one green-brown. Fine.
