Judea. Hasmonean Period. Mattathias Antigonus, 40-37 BC. AE 23 mm. (Four Prutot). Choice example. Double cornucopiae, Hebrew inscription around and inbetween. Reverse: Ivy wreath, Greek inscription around. Hendin 481; Meshorer, AJC I, p. 158, V4. Well struck for type, with bold inscription. Black-brown patina, with earthen highlights. Nice Very Fine.
