Judea. Hasmonean Period. John Hyrcanus I, 134-104 BC. AE Double Prutah. Very rare. Filleted double cornucopia; Hebrew inscription around. Reverse: Crested helmet right, within border of dots. Hendin 462; Meshorer, pl. 46, Group R. Surfaces a little rough, nevertheless a bold strike. Black-brown patina, with earthen green highlights. About Fine.
