Judea. Under Persian Rule, before 333 BC. AR Yehud Hemiobol (0.3 g). Rarely seen in this quality. Head of Persian King right, wearing kidaris. Reverse: Falcon displayed, head right; Paleo-Hebrew inscription at upper right ("YHD"). Hendin 429; Meshorer 9. Deeply toned. Obverse a little off center, otherwise especially bold strike on unusually good metal. Falcon and inscription exceptionally clear. Extremely Fine.
