Lucania. Metapontum, c. 500 BC. Lot of Two AR Nomoi. First, with ear of barley in relief and incuse, ethnic to right, dotted border (Noe 55ff.). Also, a later nomos, c. 330 BC., with wreathed head of Demeter right / ear of barley, plow at right (SNG Cop. 1227). Older coin with left edge of flan flaked off. Later coin with some minor porosity. Choice Very Fine.
