1839 N-11 R1 Booby Head. NGC graded MS-66 Brown. CAC Approved. Choice glossy olive and chocolate brown with at least 10% of the mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse. Satiny mint luster covers the planchet and this cent offers outstanding eye appeal. The only marks are a spot of darker toning at the tip of the nose and a dull rim nick at star 3. The reverse is flawless. A beautiful Booby Head cent. M-LDS showing fine radial die flowlines in the fields on both sides. Our grade is MS63+, close to MS64, and equal to the second finest known example of the variety. The attribution is noted on the NGC label. Population 2; none finer at NGC.
