Lot 747

1826 N-5 R2. PCGS graded MS-64 Red & Brown. CAC Approved. Frosty mint red fading to steel brown with faded mint red covering a third of the obverse and at least half of the reverse. Satiny mint frost covers the planchet giving this piece outstanding eye appeal. The only notable defect is a small spot of darker toning in the field before the eye. Sharply struck E-MDS showing full radial lines in all of the stars. A rim cud involves 4 dentils at star 6 while the rest of the dentils on both sides are sharply defined. A beautiful cent. Our grade is consistent with the PCGS grade. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 65. (PCGS # 36824) .
Estimated Value $2,000-UP.
Ex Legend Numismatics 2/2009-Kenneth Goodman.
