1805 S-267 R1 VF20. Sharpness EF40 or a bit better with traces of minor roughness and verdigris on both sides and several light scratches on the obverse. The best identifying marks are a dull scrape on the rim under the 18 and a small rim nick over the second T in STATES. Mostly glossy dark steel and olive brown mixed with reddish chocolate. Sharply struck EDS but not quite the earliest, Breen state II, with crisp die clashmarks on both sides.
