1798 S-166 R1 Style II Hair, Large 8 F12. Smooth and attractive. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. Close to F15 but there is a fine scratch in the field close before the nose, a rim bruise left of the lower curls, and another under the 8 in the date. EDS, Breen state II. The die crack that arcs across the lower left part of the reverse is light and the die clashmarks are sharp. Struck with the reverse rotated 25 degrees CCW. Graded F15 by Bland.
