1797 S-139 R1 VF30. Five points sharper but there is a nick on the base of the T in LIBERTY, a dull nick under the M in AMERICA, and a rim bruise over the first T in STATES. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and the eye appeal of this cent is outstanding for the grade. Frosty steel brown and darker chocolate with lighter brown toning in protected areas. LDS, Breen state V. Severe swelling obliterates the upper crack behind the lower curls and subtle swelling shows near the dentils close over the bust tip. Called VF30 by Del Bland.
