First 11 medals in this distinguished series of low mintage art medals include 1969 Judah Magnes, 1970 Albert Einstein, 1971 Louis Brandeis, 1972 George Gershwin, 1973 Haym Salomon, 1974 Herbert Lehman, 1975 Gershom Seixas, 1976 Henrietta Szold, 1977 Touro Synagogue, 1978 Golda Meir, and 1979 Levi Strauss. No more than 180 of these collections can possibly exist due to tiny mintages. Later issues included are Bela Schick (1990), Hank Greenberg (1991), and Ernestine Rose (1994). Each medal is about 2" diameter. As issued, with slight toning on a few pieces. Total weight of 38 troy oz. of pure silver.
