Jewish American Hall of Fame, 4 Extraordinary Medals by Marika Somogyi: Chagall, Chaplin, Schindler and End of WWI. The authorized mintage for the Charlie Chaplin and Marc Chagall Centennial silver medals was 500 each, but only about half of each were hand cast and finished by Somogyi in 1977 and 1987, respectively. The Charlie Chaplin contains 1 oz of pure silver and the Marc Chagall. contains 2 troy oz. of pure silver. These were hand serial numbered by Marika Somogyi: Chaplin is 46 and Chagall is 206/500. The V-shaped standing bronze medal commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Allied Victory (1995) is almost 3" tall and featuresa rejoicing American soldier with a rifle in his lap; serial number 31/250. The Oscar Schindler 4" was edge inscribed by the artist as 48/250. These are exceptional works of medallic art created by a multi-award winning artist.
