Pair of Apollo XI National Geographic and Westinghouse Awards. 1) A large handsome color photograph from the National Geographic Society on the occasion of the award of the Society's "General Thomas D. White United States Air Force Trophy" for outstanding contributions to American aerospace progress. In this photo, Aldrin and Collins, with Thomas Paine accepting for Armstrong, receive their personal, smaller size versions of the award, with Air Force Secretary Seamans looking on. Overall size 23.75" wide by 17.5" high, the photo in excellent condition. 2) A rarely seen poster with salutation from Westinghouse to NASA and Apollo XI, showing a still photo of the planting of the USA flag on the moon's surface, this from a live television transmission shown to the world as it happened, using Westinghouse TV cameras. Overall size is 20.5" wide by 27.5" high; this very rare poster with laminated framing, ready for hanging and display. Both ex-Buzz Aldrin collection of Apollo XI awards and gifts.
