Root, Elihu and Frank B. Kellogg. Root (1835-1947) and Kellogg (1856-1937) were both U.S. Secretary of State and Nobel Peace Prize winners, Root in 1912 and Kellogg in 1929. Waist-lenth portrait of Root signed on the mount, 9¾ x 12¾ in.; photo by Geo. Prince, 1902. Photo of Kellogg by Vandyk, London, inscribed to Charles L Ruby and signed on the mount, 16½ x 11¾ in. With a 1932 typed letter signed to Ruby; two small newspaper clippings at bottom. Also, eight 4½ x 2¾ in. cards, inscribed either "Sincerely yours" or "With sincere regards," and signed.
