Collection of ten checks from two music publishing houses, Witmark & Sons, Inc. and HARMS Incorporated, dated from March 1924 to May 1930. The checks are made out to and endorsed by the following: Sigmund Romberg, composer of the music for the operetta The Student Prince; Bud De Sylva, songwriter, film producer, and co-founder of Capitol Records; Lew Pollock, song composer; Vincent Youmans, theater composer ("No, No, Nanette") and Broadway producer; Robert Russell Bennett, composer and arranger of Broadway and Hollywood musicals; Ralph Rainger, composer of music for films ("Thanks for the Memory"); Irving Caesar, lyricist and theater composer ("Tea For Two," "Just A Gigolo"); Bert Kalmar, lyricist who collaborated with Harry Ruby to write the musical scores for "Animal Crackers," "Duck Soup," and more; Harry Ruby, collaborated with Bert Kalmar; and Harry Woods, Tin Pan Alley songwriter ("When the Red Red Robin") and pianist.
