[Songwriters/Composers] Sidney Romberg, Irving Caesar, Harry Ruby, and Seven Other. Collection of ten checks from two music publishing houses, Witmark & Sons, Inc. and HARMS Incorporated, dated from March 1924 to May 1930. The checks are made out to and endorsed by the following: Sigmund Romberg, composer of the music for the operetta The Student Prince; Bud De Sylva, songwriter, film producer, and co-founder of Capitol Records; Lew Pollock, song composer; Vincent Youmans, theater composer ("No, No, Nanette") and Broadway producer; Robert Russell Bennett, composer and arranger of Broadway and Hollywood musicals; Ralph Rainger, composer of music for films ("Thanks for the Memory"); Irving Caesar, lyricist and theater composer ("Tea For Two," "Just A Gigolo"); Bert Kalmar, lyricist who collaborated with Harry Ruby to write the musical scores for "Animal Crackers," "Duck Soup," and more; Harry Ruby, collaborated with Bert Kalmar; and Harry Woods, Tin Pan Alley songwriter ("When the Red Red Robin") and pianist. Also noteworthy, one of the checks is signed by Louis Dreyfus, who was one of the founders of ASCAP. There is a lot of music history in this lot! Estimated Value $500 - 750
