Nero. AD 54-68. Bronze Sestertius (27.3g). Uncertain provincial mint, probably Perinthus in Thrace, ca. 65. Laureate head of Nero right, globe at point of bust. Reverse: Statuary group of the emperor in quadriga flanked by Victory and Pax atop triumphal arch; at cornices, soldiers or torch bearers; in side niche of arch, statue of Mars holding spear. Cf. RPC 1758 (obv. legend); RIC -; BMC -. Scarce. Green and brown patina. Smoothing noted in the obverse fields. Fine/Very Fine. Estimated Value $350 - 400
