Judea. Herodian Period. Agrippa II, 50-95 CE. Era of Nero Year 14 (AD 67/8). AE 24. Mint of Sepphoris (Neronias). Wreath around circle with crude legend within. Reverse Two crossed cornucopias with caduceus between. Hendin 1276. Very scarce issue: Fine.
On this coin, Vespasian is named while still a general under Nero. Sepphoris is referred to as both Neronias in honor of the emperor and as the City of Peace - Irenopolis. Estimated Value $300 - 400
