Lot 2450

Corinthia, Corinth. Silver Stater 8.58g), ca. 375-300 BC. Pegasos flying left. Reverse Helmeted head of Athena left; behind, astragalos. Cf. Pegasi I 400/1 (A before neck); BCD Corinth -. Choice Very Fine.
Pegasi I 400 shows the letter A before the neck of Athena. Although reportedly another specimen of the same variety which thus should also have the letter A, Pegasi I 400/1 seemingly does not, at least it is not apparent in the photograph. Estimated Value $350 - 400
