1801 S-223 R1 Error Fraction 1/000 PCGS graded VF20. Glossy chocolate brown and steel. The planchet appears to be perfectly smooth to the unaided eye, but a strong glass reveals traces of extremely fine roughness covering all but the highpoints. No notable marks or verdigris. Very rare Terminal Die State (TDS), Breen state VI, with a strong cud break that connects the bust to the rim. An attractive example of an impressive die state. Our grade is F12.
