Lot 1438

1901. PCGS graded Proof 65. CAC Approved. Turquoise and electric blue iridescent toning grace the surfaces on both sides. Only 813 struck. A sparkling coin bursting with mirror reflection streaming through the toning and gorgeous in appearance. The surfaces are clear of marks. Taking stock of another key element of the grade, this piece has knife-edged devices throughout, including centers, rather than a soft, mushy strike as most often seen on the business strike issue. Pop 27; 28 finer, 19 in 66, 8 in 67, 1 in 68 (PCGS # 5687) Estimated Value $1,600 - 1,700
