1786 Connecticut Miller 5.7-H.1 Rarity-6- PCGS Genuine, AU Details, Cleaning. Frosty medium brown with wisps of imbedded dark planchet slag on the upper part of the reverse, as struck. Probably recolored, but the toning is quite attractive. The surfaces are decent, especially for a 1786 Connecticut, but there is extremely fine granularity covering all but the highpoints. There is very little if any actual wear. Nicely centered on the planchet giving us a clear look at the rim cud break above CO in CONNEC. The date is weak but readable, the legends are clear, and the strong break across the neck is bold. Comparable to the Ford example, superior to the Perkins piece. Worth a look from Connecticut specialists. Listed on page 61 in the "Redbook."
Estimated Value $200-UP.
The Arden Collection.

Realized $1,955
