1778 Machin's Mills Halfpenny Vlack 12-78B Rarity-3 VG10. Slightly sharper with areas of fine porosity on both sides and a subtle dent in the planchet under the O in GEORGIVS. Glossy medium chocolate brown and the eye appeal is rather nice. The date is clear and the legends are easily readable. Not bad for a Machin's in spite of the imperfect surfaces. Listed on page 67 in the "Redbook." Weight 101.6 grains.
